EU and Ukraine strengthen cooperation in fight against cyber aggression

The event was attended by representatives of the National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection, the National Police of Ukraine and the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The Ukrainian delegation shared its experience in countering russian cyber aggression. In particular, it was about effective measures to prevent cyberattacks, building cyber defense and close cooperation between the state’s cybersecurity actors as a key factor in successfully combating cyber threats. They also discussed the issue of increasing the level of international cybercrime due to the active involvement of malicious actors from russia. In this context, international partners were presented with effective countermeasures taken by Ukraine, in particular, they were informed about the implementation of the Protective DNS phishing domain filtering system.

The meeting also served as a platform to discuss the organization of the third round of cyber dialogue between Ukraine and the European Union. The participants discussed Ukraine’s progress and directions for further harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with EU cybersecurity legislation.

The discussion emphasized the importance of joint work and exchange of experience between Ukraine and the European Union in the field of cybersecurity. The parties reaffirmed their readiness to further deepen cooperation, exchange of information and joint actions to ensure resilience and security in cyberspace.
