Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, held a meeting with the British delegation headed by the British Defence Minister Grant Shapps.

The event was also attended by First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, Colonel General Ruslan Khomchak, Head of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Andriy Zyuz, Head of the External Security Service Serhiy Trachuk.

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of bilateral security cooperation and prospects for its further expansion.

The Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine thanked Great Britain for its financial, defence, humanitarian support and help in the fight against Russian aggression.

At the same time, Grant Shapps assured of unchanging support for Ukraine on its way to restoring territorial integrity, stressing that Great Britain will continue to help Ukraine in the field of defense industry, training of the Ukrainian military, issues of post-war development of Ukraine.

During the meeting, Oleksiy Danilov expressed satisfaction with the prospects of cooperation with the Ambassador Plenipotentiary of Great Britain in Ukraine, Martin Harris.

He also, speaking with the Ambassador Plenipotentiary of Great Britain to Ukraine Martin Harris, expressed confidence in the reliability of Great Britain’s support for the Ukrainian people.
